A Review of 2014!

If I could only describe 2014 in one word.....that word would be.....Unexpected.
Here is a list of things that Happened in 2014 -

January - I was thinking that I was a kid again and went roller skating, while roller skating I fall several times and on the last fall, I popped my left knee. ending up in the ER for several hours waiting for the results. only to find out that I needed to go and see a specialist to figure out what was wrong with my left knee.

February - on Feb 16th, I started talking with a great guy on a dating website called POF, which for a person who is LDS, its hard to find anyone in my religion. after being on the website for several months, I finally meet a great guy and started talking to him. after a few days of talking this amazing man, named Scott Mills asked me out on a date. I was so excited. I remember running out of my room calling for my sister and telling her that I just got asked out for a date that same night and that I needed help picking out an outfit.
Scott came down from Salt Lake to Provo and we meet at the BYU Creamery for ice cream on the 18th of Feb. at 10 pm at night. I remember as I walked across the street towards scott, I was so shocked. he was so handsome and I was getting weak in the knees. oh, and at this time I was off of crutches and wearing a leg brace on my left knee. and by the end of feburary, scott and I were dating ( and I was already dreaming of our wedding....I know crazy but I had fallen head over heals in love with scott).
3rd Date

March - In March, I finally introduce Scott to my sister and her family. its seemed like everyone just got along right away. pretty magical. by March, I was also still wearing a brace, and I had fallen a few more times doing more damage to my left knee.

April - got to love April Fools, Scott and I though I would be funny to post on Facebook that we were engaged and within the first couple of hours there were so many likes and comments of congratulations. some even asked if it was for real since it was posted on April Fools. it was fun. but no, we weren't really engaged. but we had started talking about it. by this time I had meet Scott's children and some of his family.

May - Since Scott and I had been talking about getting engaged. I told Scott that May 19 would be the best day to propose. dropping the date several times. I wanted that date because it was my mothers birthday and she was no longer alive and my sister was proposed to by her husband on that date as will. I thought it would be a nice memory create on her birthday since she was no longer with us. He did propose on May 19th and included my sister and her family.
June - on the 2nd of June I finally had knee surgery on my left knee. It took several weeks to heal and I was on crutches for the whole month.

August - On the 23rd of August Scott and I got Married. On that day, I became a wife and a step mother.
it was the most amazing beautiful wedding ever. I got to dance at my wedding, with no crutches. that was nice.

so the rest of this year I have been getting use to being a wife and a step mother.
I am hoping that this next year will be full of joy and fun and loads of learning
experiences as I learn my new role as Wife and Step Mother.

That's my year review of 2014.
I hope yours was just as unexpected as mine was and
that this new year is full of Adventure.

Dancing Queen

Since October of 2011 I have been attending LDS Mid-Single's Activities in the Utah County area. I have been having tons of fun making new friends. Every Friday and Saturday there is a dance, and after every dance my body is sore and tired, but feels so good. I am never in want of a partner (for those of you who know Jane Austen!) I have received lots of comments like "Your an amazing dancer", ":Your beautiful". and about every dance some guy is telling me that he has been trying to dance with me but has not been able to since I have been so busy dancing and been asked to dance by so many. Even though I am getting loads of attention at dances I still have not gotten anyone to ask for my number. I have gone on one date and that was back in February it just did not work. the guy was nice but there was just nothing there. I thought I would post a little about all the fun I have been having and share. (and to let you all know that Yes I am still alive :)

Here is my latest picture. this was taken in June of this year.

the lasted update

Hello, wow its been a long time. I know I said that I would start posting more and I am sorry that I have not.
this year has been busy. I started college in May, I am studying Office Administration and will be graduating with a diploma this next year. I am still a CNA and love it. however, my dream is to either own or help run a care faculty. My goals for this year have not been meet. I have lost some weight but not enough. I went from a size 26 to a size 22, now I just need to get re-motivated and get down to a size 18.
On august 2, 2012 I was awarded the presidential award for getting a 4.0 in my first term. I was way excited. In high school my gpa was a 3.6 (I think).

I still have not crocheted anything new, nor had the time with going to school full time and working full time too. I can say that my social life has gotten better. I have been going dancing almost every weekend and making lots of great friends. what is new in your life? please share I would love to hear what is going on?

2012 Goals

This year I know amazing things are going to happen the reason why I know is because I am going to find every opportunity and take it. I love this quote by President Monson:
so here is the path that I choose:
and the following do not have to happen in order.

Start Blogging More
In 2011 I did not blog as much as I should of and this year I plan on doing more blogging and more fun.
Volunteer
I want to volunteer my time at hospitals, assistant living facilities, senior center's, soup kitchens
and helping the homeless.

Have my own place to live
Pretty much explains itself....

Lose weight

get down to a size 16.
and how I am going to achieve that is by doing
( updated: 1/20/2012, I joined a Zumba class and love it, I go every monday, tuesday, thursday and Saturday, hoping that the pounds will start coming off)
Attend the Temple
I plan on going to the temple once a month or as often as I can.
Go visit family and historical sites through out Utah

 Start Dating

and Meet
(notice that prince charming is Gerald Butler),
 okay so prince charming
does not have to be Gerald Butler however
it would not hurt if he looked like him.

so, there you go
 my plans for 2012
there are many other things that I would love to do
however this post is getting way to long
so I will post the rest another day.

as Cinderella would say:
A Dream is a Wish your Heart Makes

Vision Board

Awhile ago my sister had us make vision boards of what we would like our future to be. Here is Mine.
I would like to one day get married in the temple and be a mother. own my own home. make friends. learn to sew, ballroom dancing,  become a better cook. become a crochet diva. join the church choir ( of which I have already have), attend Provo college and get into the nursing program, then take business management so that I can open my own assistant living facility ( 10 beds) call The Cozy Corner. go to Paris France on a Jane Austen grand tour. become health and a size 16. we even had to have a quote that would inspire us.
mine is " when you wake up in the morning, you have two choices - go back to sleep and dream your dreams, or wake up and chase those dreams!"

I had a wonderful time creating my vision board, it even opened my mind to what I really wanted in life.
so I challenge you all to set some time during your busy work week and make your own vision board and I hope that you will share them with me. :) I look forward to seeing yours.

life is getting better

In October I moved in with my sister and her family. I lost my job in September due to my car breaking down and tried for a month looking for a job close to where I lived and I never find anything. its been a blessing to live with my family. a week after I moved in I find a job. it does not pay much however I am grateful to have one. .
since I have moved in with my sister I have gone to Two Dances and both times have felt like Cinderella at the ball, dancing with every one. I love it. I even learned how to Cha-Cha which is loads of fun. I am looking forward to going dancing again tomorrow. I have also be going to Fireside's on Sunday's. if you don't know what a fireside is, its a gathering a people who listen to someone talk about inspiration and spiritual guidance. Here is my newest Picture.

this is what I looked like at my first dance
on December 2nd.

St. Patrick's Day (2011)

Yesterday for St. Patrick's day I watched my nephews.
It started with a visit from Lenee the leprechaun...he left foot prints all over the house with treats, activities and
his pot of gold (candy)
Daxton and Shantz find the Pot of Gold
then we made leprechaun hats

we had loads of fun making these cute hats and decorating them.
after we played St. Patrick's Bingo with prize's.

the boys won card games ( old maid and go fish), cars, candy
and the big prize was veggie tales coloring books.

then we made our own leprechauns
left to right: Daxton (6), Me, Shantz (5)

and we ended the day with Mint Chocolate chip shakes

My 30th Birthday

My 30th birthday was a blast
My sister and I went around shopping at Wal-mart, D.I,
a Yard Sale, Ross, and Target.
and in between shopping I got my nails done along with my sister.
It was fun being pampered.
Then we went to the Historical part of St george and visited a couple of different
house's of which I just Loved (hint: the heart)
We visited Oliver Pratt's House First
(the house right behind me)
Me and My Sister inside of Oliver Pratt's House
(we were told by the tour guide that a family of four lived in this room,
We could not image our family living in a room like that all together, it was too small)
I love these plates
(inside Olive Pratt's House)
Me Posing
(this is in the back of Oliver Pratt's House and I just had to take a picture)
Then we head to the Bentley house
Wishing I was a Victorian Lady
(I loved this Couch that I was sitting one)
This is the original stove
(I can't imagine cooking on it)
I had My Birthday Dinner at Apple Bee's

Cami (My sister in Law) Julia (my sister)
and Me
The Crew at Apple Bee's sang "Happy Birthday"
and my sister pulled out a candle and lighter and lit the candle right there in apple bee's
it was funny I could not stop laughing.
Then we went and saw season of the witch

I do need to add that My Sister was telling everyone that it was my birthday, she even asked a lady at Target if she would announce it over the speaker and the lady straight up told her "NO" the lady does not know how to have fun. Anyways, it was great.

Then we I got home on Sunday the 16th I had my birthday cake and my family sang to me.
My sister recorded it.

30 is going to be a great year!
Sorry this post is so long.
