It was a hot summer’s day a young lady was walking through the park when she came across a little girl sitting underneath a big oak tree crying. The young women stopped and asked the little girl if she was okay. The little girl looked up at the lady with tears running down her face, “My mother died today” the little girl replied with a fresh batch of tears. The young lady did not know what to do so she though and after a couple of minutes of watching the little girl cry she asked if she could sit down next to her. With out looking up the little girl shocked her head yes. After a couple of minutes sitting next to the little girl listening to her cry, she told the little girl “you have a very special gift“. The little girl wiped her face as she lifted her head and looked at the young lady. “What do you mean? “ she said. The young lady explained, “when you and your mother did things together you created memories, and those memories you will always have with you no matter what and no one can take those away from you, can you think of any memories that you made with your mother?”. the little girl though and though, she finally replied, when I was really little I would have nightmares and my mother would let me sleep in her bed and she would tell me that she loved me and that everything would be alright, and sometimes she would wake us up with music and breakfast would be all made, then she would tell us that we were going on a camping trip, then we would go camping for the weekend and go on hike’s and roast hotdogs it was lots of fun she said with a smile on her face.
The young lady smiled and said “you see, when ever you are sad and missing your mother, you can think of those wonderful memories that you made with her and she will be right there”.
“ I better go home now, thank you” the little girl said and gave the lady a hug. The little girl got up and skipped down the path towards the end of the park, the young lady stood up and watched the little girl as she faded in the distance. “ I will always be with you my daughter”.
The End.
