Look after Afghans and other crochet items
1. Always clean your Afghan regularly, according to the care instructions on the ball band of the yarns you have used.
2.You may prefer to have very large throws and afghans professionally dry cleaned.
3. To store afghans not in use, never enclose them in a plastic bag, as the fibers will not be able to breathe and the static cling created by polythene will attract dust and dirt.
4. Instead, wrap in a clean cotton pillowcase or sheet, depending on size.
5. Store in a dry, cool, dust free place, adding a bag of dried lavender to keep the crochet smelling sweet and to deter moths.
