Joining with slip stitch (sl st)

1. Make a slipknot with a new yarn and place it on the hook

2. Take the hook from from to back through the stitch

3. Take the new yarn from back to fron around the hook

4. Draw the hook backward and pull the wrapped yarn through both the first stitch and slipknot

5. Continue across the row with the new yarn.
