Double Crochet (dc)

1-Begin with a foundation chain, wrap the yarn over the hook and insert the hook into the fourth chain from the hook.

2-Draw the yarn through the chain, leaving three loops on the hook. Yarn over again and draw the yarn through the first two loops on the hook, leaving the two loops on the hook.

3-Yarn over and draw the yarn through the two loops on the hook leaving one loop on the hook. One double crochet complete.

Continue along the row, working one double crochet stitch into each chain. At the end of the row, work three chains to turn. Skip the first stitch and work a double crochet into each stitches made on the previous row. At the end of the row, work the last stitch into the top fo the turning chain.

Great way to explain it. I watched YOUtube for an hour to learn it and then had to make my own video tutorial for others like me that are clueless! Happy PEAR day!

I just recently learned to crochet (this year) and I'm enjoying finding the fun things that I can make. :) I've been a knitter since I was a little girl, so that's my first love. But crochet is really fun, too!
